[Wadabo_updates] Seydou Wednesday Class Update

All -
As you have experienced over the past few weeks, we've been blessed to
have Michelle Bach-Coulibaly teaching Seydou's class. High energy,
comprehensive warmups followed by high energy, awesome creative dance.
But really, my words don't do her class justice. For the next few
weeks (until the Dance Complex closes for the annual repair/cleaning),
we'll be lucky to have class led by one of the lead dancers in
Michelle's Troupe "New Works/World Traditions" - Almaz Dessie.

Almaz has been studying, dancing and performing with Michelle for many
years. Almaz has traveled to Mali with Michelle and Seydou to study at
the source, and has been Michelle's teaching assistant in her West
African dance classes at Brown. Suffice to say, we can be assured of a
wonderful class with Almaz.

Almaz will be continuing one of the dances that Michelle started with
us (Doundounba) and continuing with a couple other classics (Sandia &
Dansa). For Doundounba, she'll go over the steps we learned, and
continue teaching additional steps. She'll also lead a warm-up
(starting promptly at 7:30 pm). Moussa, Issa, and Sory (at a minimum)
will be drumming for class, so as always with Wednesday nights, there
will be powerful music driving the class.

And as a final enticement to get you out to class - we're dropping
class price to $10 for these next few weeks. Awesome!
