The Build A School In Africa Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization,
is presenting two benefit shows to raise funds for our 3rd middle school
in the Kolondieba District in southern Mali. In partnership with Save
the Children, an A-rated charitable organization, we have already built
schools in the villages of Dialakoroba and Massamagana.
A 3-room school can be built for less than $25,000 U.S.
The shows feature the fabulous Troupe Baden'ya drummers, led by Seydou
Coulibaly, with the Teriya Dancers, plus dancers and drummers from
Alice Heller's Troupe Teranga and a special repertory class directed by
Fatou-Carol Sylla . There will also be DVD's of Mali and of the school
construction projects, plus vendor tables and refreshments at
intermission.
