In the Spirit of Rara: The Festival Dances of Haiti
4th Semi-Annual Weekend Intensive Workshop with Jean Appolon
A fundraising event for the youth of Haiti
Saturday & Sunday, April 28 & 29, 3:00-5:00pm

Come and celebrate the season of Rara in Haitian style! Each workshop
includes: discussion / Q&A session and reading materials about featured
dances, Rara traditions, and Haitian culture. Dance instruction features:
Horton/Dunham warm up, Haitian dance technique, and original choreography.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will go directly to dance programs
for disadvantaged youth in Haiti.

Geared towards advanced beginner to intermediate level dancers, all are
welcome. Live accompaniment by Haitian drum masters: JouJou, Marceil,
TiCharles, and other talented artists!

$70 for entire workshop / $40 for single class. Pre-registration is required
