 Dear Sabar Enthusiasts,

As some of you may be aware, Paa and Moha Seck (Lamine's cousins) have been
coming from NYC to substitute for some of Lamine's sabar dance classes at
the Dance Complex on Thursdays.  If you haven't gone yet, be sure to come to
class THIS Thursday, February 15th (Dance Complex 6:30-8) - THIS IS YOUR
LAST CHANCE BEFORE LAMINE RETURNS...you won't regret it!!

For those of you who are drummers, Paa and Moha will be around for a few
days so if enough people are interested, they will teach a sabar drum class
this SATURDAY (Feb 10) from 10:30am-12:00noon at the MIT world music
room(please note the earlier time, as it is the only time that works
with their
schedule). * Please email me ASAP if you plan to come to this class so that
they can decide whether or not to have it!*

Finally, Lamine will be back next week, inch Allah, so his weekly class
schedule will resume.  The FIRST CLASSES will take place as follows:

THURSDAY, Feb. 15 - 6:30-8 sabar dance at Dance Complex

SATURDAY, Feb. 17 - 12-1:30 - sabar drum class at MIT world music room

MONDAY, Feb. 19 - 6-7:30 - sabar drum class at MIT world music room

and the next GROUP SALOUM show will be THURSDAY, FEB. 22 at the Lizard
Lounge, so mark the date on your calendars!
