A message from the members of VADO DIOMANDE's.....
               Kotchegna Dance Company:

Thank you for all your prayers and generosity
the last two months..&...IF  you have EVER seen VADO
perform or teach at a workshop or university near
you........

THIS MESSAGE is for all of you that KNOW OF
and LOVE.........VADO DIOMANDE.....

As you have seen from the News, Vado contracted Anthrax
accidently in February.   He survived, and is recovering.
Just happy to be alive, he and his wife are coping with
the loss of their home, personal effects, drum business, and van
...due to the aggressive de-contamination effort by the city of NY.

To assist them, We, Vado's Kotchegna Dance Company, are hosting
a benefit to honor his Life and Work:
Friday evening, May 5th: 8:00 p.m.
Unitarian Church of All Souls:  80th Str. & Lex. Ave. NYC

We are VERY grateful to .. JEH KULU DANCE AND DRUM THEATER of
Burlington, Vermont.  Their well-wishes, enthusiasm, and generosity
are greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Dembe Sene (of Jeh Kulu)  & others on their
spectacular performance with Marie-Basse's Maimouna Keita Dance
Company last weekend.
