4.Request for Dance VOLUNTEERS
1. FELLYKO & SOUND7 will be performing this Friday,
DECEMBER 2, from 9-11pm at CLUB WAFFU (Holiday Inn
[NightGames], 30 Washington Street, Somerville).
If you're a fan of Congolese rumba, (or Cuban son
montuno -- the basis of Congolese rumba), you won't
want to miss this band. They nail the essence of
classic Congolese music, but add their own original
flavor as well. Fellyko has performed and recorded
with many of the greats of Congolese music, and he is
a phenomenal guitarist. I'm passionate about Congolese
rumba, but also a tough critic, so if this band has me
convinced then they have to be great!
Come out and support the new Club Waffu location. The
club is beautiful, and there's ample free parking.
It's also close to the Sullivan Square T stop. So,
please bring your dancing shoes and your friends and
come out early next Friday evening December 2. The
club opens at 8:30pm and the band will perform from
9-11pm. After the band finishes at 11pm, there will be
DJs spinning African music until 2am.

2. Kissima Diabate is back!
So you thought you missed his class last Saturday.
Never fear, there is more! Kissima will be teaching
Lamine and Fatou's classes. So thanks to both of those
teachers for giving up their space, and thanks to
Kissima for sticking around. Kissima is a master
dancer and drummer from Senegal who has been traveling
around the USA and Europe for the past few years
teaching and performing.

Thank you.
âMy name is Leah and I'm currently doing an
internship at a women's homeless shelter. The holiday
blues are here and we are trying to find ways to keep
them away. I was wondering if some of anyone is
willing to donate your precious time to entertain and
perhaps teach some of our guests a few of your
jubilicious moves. We are a non-profit and again, we
deal with low income and homeless women so your unpaid
time but much appreciated talents would certainly be
of help.â
